Bernedoodles

The Bernedoodle is a cross between the Bernese and the Poodle, “Invented” in 2003, Bernedoodles and their smaller hybrid relatives, the Mini Bernedoodle have exploded in popularity ever since. This versatile mixed breed comes in three size variations in the UK. These sizes are Mini, Standard and Ultra. This makes them adaptable to various living situations. A full-grown Bernedoodle is often medium-to-large-sized. It can reach up to 45kgs in weight and average 26 inch to the withers. The Bernedoodle coat texture can range from straight to wavy to curly. Each type influences their hypoallergenic qualities and grooming needs. Curly coats, inherited from the Poodle, are the most hypoallergenic but need frequent grooming every 6-8 weeks to prevent matting. Wavy coats, a common mix of both parent breeds, are low-shedding and easier to maintain. Straight coats, though less common, resemble the Bernese Mountain Dog’s silky soft fur and may shed more.

There is never a guarantee that they will not shed.

The Bernedoodle can come in a full spectrum of colours, As one of the breeds with most colour variations, the poodle, We see everything from white to the black tri of the Bernese.

Merles are the only colour not standard with Bernedoodle as it takes two copies of the merle gene, Of which a Bernese would never carry,

You will also here the terms F1, F1b and F2 where looking at the breed, F1 means first generation, a 50/50 mix of Bernese and poodle.

F1b means one parent is an F1 but the other parent is either a F1, a full Poodle or a full Bernese (also called ultra bernedoodle if 75% Bernese).

F2 is when a F1b is mated to another F1b, Becoming multi generation.

she is the most relaxed puppy I have ever owned, She's also very loving, very cheeky and she does everything with her feet, She has no idea how big she is and Lyra is her favorite friend, Venus will one day have a litter with Helix if her health tests are satisfactory, We aim to produce larger F2 progeny for those who want a big but gentle dog with a longer life expectancy.
